‘Joe is the true essence of hip hop music!’
Speech (Arrested Development)

'Rooted in the American folk singer tradition of the travelling song smith a la Bob Dylan, but joining the dots with that most modern of folk forms, hip-hop. He's produced a delicious debut that will guarantee his mythic status for years to come.'
-- DJ Magazine 4.5/5 stars (Album of The Fortnight)

'This is a unique, inspiring take on hip-hop that makes youwant to dig out those old G. Love & Special Sauce albums, or indeed Beck's Mellow Gold... well worth your attention, as this guy is talented.'
-- IDJ

"The rhythm is consuming and the melodies are soothing"
From the song 'Man Made Light'

Eliot Rich
Eliot Rich
Eliot Rich's experience in the music business is as varied and colorful as the music he makes. As a hip-hop emcee with CYPHER:DISSIDENT, a rock and roll guitarist with Phat Camp, a producer and recording engineer at his self owned an operated studio Mr. E's Productions, as well as a show promoter, he has a diverse knowledge of all things that groove. His latest project does just that, grooves. From subtle and sweet harmonics to down and dirty drum and bass, Eliot uses a foot operated sampler, and tons of effects to transform his Les Paul Custom Studio into a one man band. In each unique performance Eliot will improvise over sampled drums to create a colorful pallette of sound. You'll hear hip-hop, rock and roll, drum and bass, funk and trance over the course of a performance. His lyrics reflect current events and self discovery...venturing into the political and the intellectual, but never straying too far away from the party. Listeners will watch intently as Eliot constructs each piece, while the dancers will just close their eyes and move.
